Version 0.1.5

After a short hiatus, and a new pc i'm back.

This version doesn't introduce many new features.

  • The basic AI enemies are for the most part still pretty dumb, but should only charge you when they see you and not magically know your location.
I still haven't made them be able to attack you yet.
  • A few SFX fixes and additions (the available test weapons sound different and more realistic, and the player's equipment rustles when moving).
  • Added a large map, but little to do as of right now. Just some buildings that will be part of a larger medieval slum on the outer edges of the main city.
  • The main character is in the process of getting textured, only missing the head and eyes. Should be finished in the next release (wip pictures attached).
  •  As before, some stuff i most likely forgot.

I'll await your feedback
Stay tuned!

Well, look:

  • first person has a small bug with his hands. They seem to look straight forward, but when you put the camera down, it kinda hurts eyes.
  • It's a little uncomfortable to walk from a third person. It is very difficult to change the direction of movement. (and I would also advise you to take an example of movement from Dark Souls).
  • there is also a small problem with the movement vector - when you look down and go forward, the character slows down.
  • I would also advise you to reduce the brightness a little bit, or in the future add contrast, brightness and color settings.

(I played on the most minimal graphics settings, so I could have missed something, because, you know, a weak PC)

I really want to see what happens with game, because it's already pretty interesting. (And sorry for my bad English, if that so)

Hi!

Your English is fine, don't worry ;)

And so is your PC if you're having fun.

  • "first person has a small bug with his hands. They seem to look straight forward, but when you put the camera down, it kinda hurts eyes"
I'm not completely sure what you mean, I added some procedural camera tracking to her, it might be that. I'll look into it.
  • The third person bug has been like that since the start because I never intended to make it playable in this perspetive. I used it only for dev purposes, but I'm liking this perspetive too so I'll fix it eventually.
  • "there is also a small problem with the movement vector - when you look down and go forward, the character slows down"
I'm aware of this, it only happens, after sliding but haven't figured out the cause yet.
  • "I would also advise you to reduce the brightness a little bit, or in the future add contrast, brightness and color settings"
Yeah, I literally made the map and added the typical directional light, sky light and the sky sphere, but didn't tweak any of the values. Sorry about that. I'll replace it with Ultra Dynamic Sky blueprints.

Thank you so much for your feedback, for trying it out and for your interest in my game :D
